Norduz is the name of one of the villages of East Azerbaijan province, which is located near the village of Dozal, Sihrood district, Jolfa city. This village is located next to the Aras River on the border with Armenia and has a large border terminal market with an area of 8 hectares, which started its activities in September 1995.
The Norduz border is the conduit for economic relations between Iran and Armenia. And through this border, a wide range of goods (from cement and gas and industrial and petrochemical products to grains, fruits and vegetables) are exported to Armenia.
Sufian Cement Factories (120 km), Azarabadgan Khoy Factories (175 km) and Urmia White Cement Factories (271 km) are the closest cement factories to the Norduz border, respectively.
