Jolfa is one of the customs and border cities of Iran, which is located on the south bank of the Aras border river, 135 km north of Tabriz and 65 km north of Marand, in East Azarbaijan province. Geographically, Julfa is of great importance due to its location at the zero point of the border, as well as its proximity to Armenia and Azerbaijan, and, most importantly, the use of the national railway - which connects Central Asia and the Caucasus. Therefore, it is one of the strategic and transit cities of the country. Also, the establishment of Julfa in Aras Free Trade-Industrial Zone, which is becoming one of the commercial-industrial hubs of Iran and the region, has increased the importance of this region more than before.
Khoy Cement Factories (72 km), Sufian (145 km), and Sefid Urmia (192 km) are the closest factories to Jolfa border, respectively.
