The Dogharun border, with a history of over one hundred years, is located 225 km southeast of the holy city of Mashhad, 18 km from the city of Taybad (in Khorasan Razavi province), and 120 km from Herat.
Dugharun is one of the main centers and channels for the import of goods to Afghanistan, so that, according to the governor of Herat, now more than 60% of the goods needed by the Afghan people enter the country through this border.
Most of the goods that enter the Iranian customs in the form of transit from the United Arab Emirates (such as Imam Khomeini port, Shahid Rajaei and Shahid Bahonar wharves) are exported to Afghanistan through the Dugharun border.
West Asia Cement Complex (158 km), Zavat Torbat Cement (169 km) and Ghaen Cement (224 km) are the closest factories to Dogarun border, respectively.
