Arvand Free Zone

Arvand Free Zone is located in an area of ​​37,400 hectares in the northwest of the Persian Gulf and includes the cities of Abadan, Khorramshahr and Minoshahr (Mino Island). Of the total land area of ​​this region, 8600 hectares are allocated to industrial activities, 4800 hectares to other sectors in the fields of trade, tourism and administration, and 3800 hectares to ports, warehousing and transit sectors. Existence of abundant fresh water and Bahmanshir, Karun and Arvand rivers and other facilities such as road, rail, sea and air transportation to and from the country and Abadan airport and a short distance from neighboring countries (Iraq and Kuwait) are the advantages of Arvand Free Zone.
The creation of the Arvand Industrial and Commercial Free Zone in the cities of Abadan and Khorramshahr in recent years has doubled the importance and influential position of these two cities.
